- Electrical: Having a stainless
steel body with insulated handle, either made of wood or plastic,
such kettles are powered by mains electricity. When water reaches
its boiling point, kettle automatically inactivates itself to forbid
water boiling away and damaging heating element.
- Non electrical: Non electrical kettle has a spout and a lid with a handle to carry the kettle. It is designed in such a way that it can be put directly on burning gas stove. However one should be careful using these kettle. Since it is made of stainless steel, the body is heated quickly and hence adequate care must be taken to take the kettle out of the gas stove.
Most electrical stainless steel kettles have the following features:
- Durable and highly tensile stainless steel body
- Automatic safety cut-off when boiled
- Facility of on/off indicator
- Provided with anti-scale heater
- Voltage and frequency cut off regulator
